How to Treat Eye Irritation at Home
Homemade Eye Drops

With just two ingredients Pure rose water and distilled water, This eye drop is Ayurvedic eye care essential that I as a WFH employee can’t live without. There is always a bottle at my computer table, and trust me I don’t use any commercial eye drop. I live by the ruling nature has a cure for everything.
Just add 5 drops of pure rose water in 30 ml of clean water, mix it well and your miracle eye drop is ready, don’t treat rose as valentines day essential, check out its miraculous properties here.
just make sure you use preservative-free rose water, there are tons of eye drops available in the market which are contaminated with preservatives like benzalkonium chloride & phenylmercuric nitrate and studies show that these preservatives are harmful in long term.
In the case of extremely dry and strained eyes, Research proves using oil-based drops does wonder. It is because our eyes are made up of fat tissues. One of the best alternatives is Pure cow ghee.
Before going to sleep at night or during any time of the day, put 2-2 drops in each eye, it will greatly reduce the eye strain and give them much-needed recovery.
Prevention is Better then Cure.

I always believe in being proactive for health, High-energy visible (HEV) light, which is released by almost every screen, is blocked by these special filters. Blue-light-blocking filters or glasses & lenses are often tinted in a mild shade of yellow, which neutralizes blue light and reduces eye strain and possible damage.
But as our modern gadgets are equipped with blue light filters, Blue light filters for the screen are no use for the glare of the screen. For me, the privacy protection film on my screen has relieved me from pressure filling in my head and around my eyes.
Also, working under a neon light or in a dark space is not a good idea. While operating and reading in dim light should not impair vision, it may trigger eye strain,
The Wonder Herb (Tragacanth Gum)

After a long day at work, staring at our computer screens, we need instant relief for eyes, one of the laziest ways to cool down our eyes is to cut 2 thick slices of cucumber and put them on eyelids, but it takes 15 to 20 minutes for cucumber to start its cooling effect,
Or you can dip two cotton pads in pure rose water and let it rest on eyelids,
But when you need medicinal effects as well as cooling effects, nothing can beat a tragacanth eye mask
Just soak 3 to 4 pieces of tragacanth gum crystals overnight, it will soak water swell greatly in size, now apply it as an eye mask. You will feel the difference with the first use only.
Take Care of Your Feet

That’s right, just like we water the roots to get fruit, Studies have shown our eyes optic nerves are connected to our feet, the result of regular foot massage was unfaillingly felt on my eyes.
All you have to do to keep your feet clean and free from dead skin buildup. Next, massage your feet daily with any cold-pressed oil, you will definitely feel the difference within a couple of weeks, as it takes time to rejuvenate the nerves in our feet.
Foot massage also boosts blood circulation in your entire body, which helps with healing and keeps your muscles and tissues toned & healthy. That’s significantly important if you have health problems that add to poor circulation or nerve damage, like diabetes.
This practice is also useful in insomnia and stress, as foot massage calms down the nervous system.
