Spread the love

Covid is rising again, so it is important for parents to take care of kids with every possible precaution, A study indicates that households with children are at a higher risk of spread, however, kids and adults were equally responsible for the spreading of the virus.

After the wave of 2021 many children who got infected with the virus are still struggling with long covid symptoms like regularly occurring fevers, sore throat, weak and aching limbs, dizziness, and exhaustion.

These are some of the most common symptoms and every child might get different combinations of symptoms.

The good news is that according to the studies and research till now. children appear to be less severely affected by the Cov-2 variant.

But most of the child cases are either asymptomatic or too mildly infected to draw serious medical attention.

But, our cause of concern is long covid symptoms. Children could develop long symptoms of covid even after full recovery from the infection, so it is important to keep a close eye on any abnormal covid like symptoms arising in the child.

How to treat Cov-2 symptoms at home.

Cough and sore throat.

According to the Harvard medical school, the covid infection begins with dry cough and sore throat-like symptoms, these symptoms start surfacing once the virus has started to replicate and overwhelm the immune system.

The first line of defense should be to slow down the replication of the virus in the throat and upper respiratory tract and to do that start your child’s morning with turmeric tea and end the day with turmeric milk.

Studies have proven that curcumin in turmeric stops the virus from entering hosts cells by impairing its binding receptors.

Taking curcumin with zinc and vitamin C has shown very promising results in boosting natural immunity and the body’s own protective defense mechanisms.

I’m sure just like my kid, this drink will become your child’s all-time favorite drink too.
Let me tell you after I started giving him this drink, his sinus problem vanished like magic. Before this every night we had to give him anti congestion nasal spray.

Fever.

A rise in body temperature that does not exceed 100.4° F (38° C) is typically mild or low-grade fever. In such cases, you should simply wait it out, monitoring the symptoms closely to see if the fever is increasing gradually.

You must understand giving the anti-fever medication immediately might hamper the body’s own immune response, resulting in the infection taking hold or will extend the duration of infection.

A fever exceeding 102° F (39° C) can start causing discomfort and may be needed to control with natural fever reducers. Fevers within this range, even reaching 105° F (40° C), are regarded as high fevers.

Keep in mind, that if a child’s fever crosses 105° F (40° C) or lasts for 2 days straight and does not respond to home treatment it would be best to seek medical attention immediately.

What can you do in case of covid fever?

Fatigue and unable to sleep.

fatigue is the first sign of burnout, if your child is complaining that walking to the kitchen to get the water feels like running a marathon, this means his/her body has exhausted itself.

In this case, the first thing you need to do is to give your child organic and seasonal fruits, fresh fruits are an excellent source of multi nutrients and vitamins.

Aim for a protein-rich diet: Give your child boiled eggs, almonds, milk mixed with ashwagandha powder, ashwagandha is a powerful rejuvenator, when mixed with cow milk, it acts as a Rasayana, according to the Ayurved Rasayana is a powerful tonic which not only replenishes the body with nutrition but also calms the mind.
